Pioppi's "Sunday School" Wine Seminar Series

Today's seminar is American Originals with Rye Tavern.

This series features 6 dates, five restaurants, 24 different dishes, six wine experts and 48 different wines. Each week, we partner with a local restaurant under a different theme and provide our guests with a four course tasting menu, eight wines to taste and a presenter who guides everyone through the afternoon.

Linda Huey Workshop: Making a Clay Nest

Saturday, February 16, 2013 - 1:00pm to 4:00pm

One of the clay trees in the installation “Dark Garden” holds a nest. In this workshop, Linda Huey will demonstrate how it was constructed. Participants can then make their own interpretations of what a nest can be. We will hand-build clay using support forms, creating experimental and sculptural forms by adding shards and hay mixed with clay. For beginners or advanced students. All materials and tools will be provided. The nests will be fired once for pick up later.

Family Snowshoe Walk

Bring the family and your snowshoes and join us for a winter adventure in the Science Center’s woods and field. We’ll look for animal tracks, learn about evergreen plants, and then come inside for some hot cocoa.

Romero & Artist Exposure Concert & Art Show

Grammy award winning virtuoso guitarist and composer, Hernan Romero plays flamenco-style guitar, which he infuses with Latin, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern influences, in music that ranges from folk to jazz to classical. The result is both sophisticated and accessible, and has been called an “incredible journey of the senses" by fellow guitar maestro, Al Di Meola.
